Siobhan Richardson is an award-winning actor/fighter/singer/dancer. Siobhan’s performance and stage combat ambitions have come together often in the last several years. Battlers, a short film that Siobhan co-starred in and fight directed, was an official selection at the Action On Film Festival in Los Angeles. The film was nominated for Best Science Fiction, and won awards for Best Martial Arts Action Sequence in a Short, and Breakout Female Action Star in a short for Siobhan herself. Acting credits in theatre span classical and Shakespeare, to musical theatre, to devised and new works. 

     She’s a certified Fight Director (Fight Directors Canada) and is the preferred Fight Director for a number of theatre companies, actors and directors. She’s taught stage combat across Canada, the USA and Europe, and at such events as the International Art of the Sword Workshop and the World Stage Combat Conference. Siobhan's approach to stage combat connects martial technique to the actor’s process including objectives, obstacles and tactics, resulting in more expressive scenes that retain the highest standards of safety. Physically, her approach examines structure and biomechanics to prevent injury, while expanding physical vocabulary. Her performance company, Crux Encounter Productions (www.CruxEncounter.com) recently completed it's first production, Why We Fight. Her company Burning Mountain (www.Burning Mountain.ca), founded with fellow actor/fight director Matt Richardson, is devoted to improving stage combat for the art form and for the artist. Most recently, she’s added Intimacy Director to her list of skills. She’s is the only person in Canada to be recognized as an Intimacy Director by Tonia Sina, founder of the Intimacy For The Stage method. Siobhan is quickly building an impressive resume in this field, including several directing and teaching credits across Canada, the USA and Europe.
